Racecourse Road is a lovely boulevard of old poinsiana trees, 1 km long.  At one end you have one of Australia’s finest racetracks, Eagle Farm.  The focus is on thoroughbred horse racing but Eagle Farm is also about fashion, entertainment and dining.

The highlight of the racing calendar in Brisbane is undoubtedly the Winter Racing Carnival held in June each year. It showcases the finest jockeys, the leading horses and trainers from Australia and New Zealand.

Racedays at Eagle Farm are not simply limited to the on-track action but includes glamorous marquees, "Fashion on the Field" competitions, pamper precincts, as well as live musicians and performers. This creates an exciting atmosphere for people of all ages.

Racecourse Road runs down to Kingsford Smith Drive, the Brisbane River and Bretts Wharf CityCat ferry stop.  A public boardwalk from the ferry goes past Bretts Wharf Seafood Restaurant, to Portside Cruise Terminal.
