October was National Breast Cancer Monthand businesses in Racecourse Road (Ascot/Hamilton) will be raising money and awareness in many and varied ways.

 

Business owners in the street joined together to support breast cancer research – most know several women with the disease. The street were decorated with pink balloons and ribbons, plus many of the fashion boutiques focused on the colour pink to decorate their windows for the month of October.

 

Racecourse Rd Supporters raised $3,000.00 on the day with thefinal figure to be over $5,000.00

 

Racecourse Road Goes Pink is a community event that hopefully becomes an annual fund raiser for this very worthy cause.
